- We are the first university in Poland to offer a double degree program in biological sciences.
- Global Change Biology is an interdisciplinary field of study, the curriculum of which was prepared in cooperation with the University of Parthenope in Naples, Italy, and is implemented under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair in "Environment, Resources and Sustainable Development", of which our University is an official partner.
- The study program is conducted in English.
- It is possible to take one of two educational paths:
- the first one based exclusively on the NCU program allows you to obtain a diploma from our University,
- the second path includes a six-month study trip to Naples (for the third semester) under the Erasmus+ program and obtaining a double master's degree:
- Nicolaus Copernicus University - Global Change Biology,
- University of Parthenope - Biology for Sustainability.
- Our offer is addressed to both Polish and international students.

Changes in the natural environment are evident on a global scale. There is an urgent need to expand knowledge of the causes, mechanisms and possible consequences of the changes taking place. The program of study of Global Change Biology makes it possible to acquire this knowledge. It offers a wide spectrum of lectures, laboratory classes and field activities covering all aspects of environmental change from a global perspective. The experience and high scientific level of the staff is reflected by the membership in international scientific networks and a large number of publications in high-scoring scientific journals.
