On November 29-30, 2023, a meeting of the international consortium implementing the RootsPlus research project (ERA NET, SusCrop II) was held at the Department of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology. The theme of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the project and coordinate the activities of the contractors representing the involved centers.
The meeting was attended by researchers from the Flanders Research Institute of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Melle (Belgium), Ghent University (Belgium), G.W. Leibniz University in Hannover, and representatives of horticultural and fruit-growing companies cooperating with the project contractors. The Department of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology was represented by NCU prof. Jaroslaw Tyburski, NCU prof. Jacek Kęsy and Natalia Mucha, Ph.D. During their stay, the guests visited the departmental laboratories, the laboratories of the "Genomics" team at the Center for Modern Interdisciplinary Technologies, the Environmental Analysis Laboratory of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, and the Didactic Garden of breeding facility of the Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences.
