It is with great pleasure to invite you to the 5th Edition of the OBSIDIAN conference, “Plant Productivity and Food Safety: Microbiology, Soil Science, Food Quality, and Agricultural Genetics”, which will take place in June 23–24, 2025, at the Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences and the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland.
The OBSIDIAN 2025 conference provides a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in interdisciplinary research on microorganisms, plants and soils, which form a common space of development and interdependence. This year's OBSIDIAN2025 conference will focus in particular on issues related to the effects of salinity on the functioning, productivity and quality of plants, microorganisms, soils and food quality.
This year’s event is further enriched by being held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the SUSTAIN COST group, offering even greater opportunities for international exchange and collaboration.
Additionally, practical workshops will be organized as part of the event, providing participants with the opportunity to explore the latest research methods in microbiology and soil and plants science.
